With the political influences in the hotel industry, how can employees truly stand for their rights?



 The hotel industry, like any other industry, is not immune to political influences.

 The hotel industry is heavily influenced by political decisions and policies, both at a local, international, and personal level. 

This can be seen in various aspects of the industry, from the taxation and regulatory system to labor laws and immigration policies. 

The political climate of a country can greatly impact the operations and profitability of hotels, and ultimately, the well-being of its employees.

One of the main issues that arise from political influences in the hotel industry is the exploitation of hotel employees. 

With the rise of globalization and the increasing competition in the hospitality sector, hotels are under pressure to cut costs and maximize profits.

 This often leads to the exploitation of employees, who are seen as a disposable resource rather than valuable assets. 

Political decisions that favor businesses over workers, such as deregulation and weaker labor laws, only exacerbate this issue.

Furthermore, political influences can also affect the working conditions of hotel employees. 

In some countries, lax immigration policies allow for hiring foreign workers who may be willing to work for lower wages and longer hours. 

This not only puts local workers at a disadvantage but also creates a divide in the workplace, leading to tensions and conflicts. 

Moreover, political instability in a country can also impact the safety and security of hotel employees, making it difficult for them to carry out their duties without fear.

So, how can hotel employees truly stand for their rights in the face of these political influences? 

The first step is to be informed and educated about their rights as workers. 

This includes understanding labor laws, work hours, and wages, and being aware of any changes or updates made by the government. 

Additionally, employees can join unions or other organizations that advocate for their rights and work towards creating a fair and just workplace.

Another important aspect is for employees to stand together and support each other. 

This can be collective bargaining or organizing protests and strikes to demand better working conditions.

In some cases, employees may also need to seek legal assistance to fight against any injustices or discrimination in the workplace.

Moreover, hotel employees must have a strong and vocal voice in the political sphere. 

They can do this by participating in elections and supporting political candidates who prioritize workers' rights and welfare. 

By having a say in the political decisions that affect their industry, employees can work towards creating a more favorable environment for themselves and their colleagues.

Political influences in the hotel industry can have a significant impact on employees' rights and well-being.

 For we see governments and politicians, knocking shoulders with employers in the hotel industry, in tight friendships which leads to a "conflict of interest".

A "conflict of interest" should not be standing, for it only stands against the employees.

Employees must be aware of their rights, stand together, and actively participate in the political process to create a fair and just work environment. 

Only through collective efforts and advocacy can hotel employees truly stand for their rights and achieve better working conditions in the industry.

Many governments and politicians carry a portfolio of "shareholders" in the hotel industry of which they are reaping benefits, from some selected hotels that they are a part of.

That is a "conflict of interest" when employees have to voice their grievances in some matters, as the same governments and politicians, with organizations made to help the employees with employment grievances, are also on the employer's side, so how can justice be served for the people, the employees?
