Let’s call it what it is, reckless governance driven by foreign-influenced agendas and commissions, not common sense or care for the people.
How does a government import electric buses into a nation, proudly showcasing it as a technological advancement, while having zero proper charging infrastructure in place?
That’s not innovation, that’s incompetence wrapped in a press release.
You cannot build a house from the roof down, yet that’s exactly what’s happening.
Governments are skipping step one, the foundation, which in this case is the charging infrastructure necessary to operate and sustain these EV fleets.
They’re trying to sell the illusion of progress without doing the groundwork required for real sustainability.
And here’s the slap in the face, if they’re already having problems charging the very buses they imported, then what about everyday citizens who are being encouraged, nudged, or even pressured into buying electric vehicles?
What happens when thousands of EV owners have to line up at a handful of broken, outdated, or nonexistent charging stations?
Let’s get real.
Who Really Benefits?
The question we need to be asking is, Who's profiting from this mess?
Is it the foreign manufacturers who got massive contracts to dump their products into underprepared nations?
Is it the local officials and consultants who secured kickbacks, commissions, or political favor by signing deals they didn’t think through?
BIt sure isn’t the people, it isn’t the public transportation users stranded because a bus couldn’t finish its route.
And it certainly isn’t the new EV owner struggling to find a station that works, or even exists.
Electric Isn’t the Problem, Lack of Vision Is.
No one is denying the potential of EVs or the need for clean transportation, but pushing a "green" agenda without the basic support system to sustain it is not just irresponsible, it’s dangerous.
You cannot yell "go electric!" while the grid is already under stress, the charging ports are scarce, and the expertise to maintain these systems is minimal.
That's not going green, that’s going backwards under a green disguise.
The People Pay While the Elite Parade
And in the midst of this, the public suffers:
- Higher costs for "clean" vehicles that can’t be properly maintained
- Longer waits at the few available charging stations
- Transportation disruptions occur when EV buses can’t complete their routes
- Unrealistic pressure to transition without support
All while the officials and decision-makers bask in praise, cut ribbons, and post photos for headlines.
Meanwhile, their poor planning leads to rising frustration, inefficiency, and financial strain on the people.
It’s Time for Accountability
This isn’t just about electric vehicles, this is about truth, planning, and leadership.
A government that truly wants to go green must do it from the ground up, not from the top down.
Before importing the next shiny set of buses or rolling out a new wave of EV incentives, where is the infrastructure?
Where is the grid upgrade, where is the training, the maintenance, the oversight?
Until then, this so-called “green revolution” is nothing but a show, and the people deserve far more than just a stage performance.
It’s not just about being electric, it’s about being ready, and right now, the leadership isn't.
