The Hidden Cost of Profit: When Businesses and Taxes Squeeze the Consumer

In today's world, where the cost of living continues to skyrocket, many consumers feel trapped in a system where businesses and governments seem to care more about profits and taxes than the well-being of ordinary people.

A troubling trend has emerged, businesses are increasingly selling inferior, watered-down, low-grade products at premium prices, all while taxes and hidden fees chip away at what's left in consumers' wallets.

From produce that looks fresh but spoils within days, to clothing that rips after a few wears, and gadgets designed to break so you'll buy replacements, it's becoming harder to find real value for your hard-earned money.

Yet, prices climb higher and higher, leaving many wondering: why are we paying luxury prices for subpar goods?

The Bulk Buying Myth

One of the most baffling contradictions is how businesses that buy in bulk still price items outrageously high. Bulk buying means lower wholesale costs, which should translate to lower prices for consumers.

But instead of passing those savings down, many businesses pocket the difference to maximize profits, leaving consumers paying more for less.

Government Taxes: Adding Fuel to the Fire

On top of this, governments continue to tax nearly everything, food, fuel, utilities, and even basic services, making it even harder for people to get by.

Every cent counts, and yet, everyday essentials are becoming luxuries.

The rising taxes and surcharges feel like yet another form of exploitation, turning the average shopper into a target for both corporate and governmental greed.

A Call for Conscience in Business

It's time for a change, businesses need to rediscover their sense of social responsibility.

A conscious, caring approach could reshape the marketplace and restore trust between consumers and companies.

By keeping prices fair, offering quality products, and passing on savings when they buy in bulk, businesses can still be profitable without robbing the people who keep them afloat.

This isn’t just about charity, it’s about sustainability.

A business that values its customers listens to their struggles, and offers true value is more likely to build loyalty, thrive in the long term, and contribute to a healthier economy.

We live in challenging times, but fairness shouldn’t be a distant dream.

Governments need to reconsider excessive taxation, and businesses must stop treating consumers like walking dollar signs.

If we create a marketplace driven by ethics, care, and genuine value, we all win, consumers, businesses, and society as a whole.

Because at the end of the day, a thriving economy isn’t built on greed, it’s built on trust, fairness, and quality.

The greed, hardness and hatred of hearts need to be removed.

Businesses and government needs to see beyond greed, they need to see, the people that is trying to survive and keep their heads above water.

Businesses and government needs to understand that just like them, the people want to live comfortable lives and be able to sustain themselves and family, when they work hard everyday, for a paycheck, when the week and month comes.
