When Anointing Meets Family Friction: The Devil's Playbook

Have you ever felt a profound shift in your life, a deep sense of purpose igniting within you?

Maybe you've experienced a powerful spiritual awakening, a clear calling to something bigger, or a surge of passion for a particular path.

In many spiritual traditions, this is often called "anointed" – a feeling of being chosen, empowered, and set apart for a specific purpose.

It's an exhilarating, awe-inspiring feeling. You're ready to take on the world, filled with faith and excitement.

But then, something unexpected happens.

Suddenly, the people you least expect – your family members – seem to become obstacles, creating conflict, sowing seeds of doubt, and triggering emotional turmoil.

Sound familiar?

If so, you're not alone, and there's a powerful reason why this might be happening.

The Enemy's Strategy: Weakening You From Within

When you experience that sense of anointing, that connection to a higher power, you become a force to be reckoned with.

You’re radiating a light that the opposing forces (whatever you choose to call them – negativity, the devil, etc.) can't ignore.

And where do they strike? Often, they target your most vulnerable point – your family.

Here’s how the enemy might use compromised family members to attack:

Doubt and Criticism: Suddenly, that supportive parent becomes overly critical, questioning your choices and sowing seeds of self-doubt.

They might dismiss your calling as naive, impractical, or even just "a phase."

Emotional Manipulation:

Family members, knowingly or unknowingly, might resort to emotional blackmail, guilt trips, or passive-aggressive comments to pull you back into the "safe zone.

" They might play on your fears and insecurities, preying on your desire for their approval.

Creating Chaos and Drama:

The enemy loves to stir up the pot. Suddenly, family arguments and misunderstandings amplify, creating a whirlwind of drama that drains your energy and distracts you from your purpose.

Jealousy and Misunderstanding:

Sometimes, loved ones struggle to understand the transformation you're going through.

They might feel jealous of your newfound passion or insecure about their place in your life, leading to resentment and conflict.

Distraction and Diversion:

The enemy uses family issues as a tool to divert your attention and focus away from your mission.

When you’re constantly putting out fires at home, you have little energy left for your own spiritual growth.

Why Family? The Intimacy Factor.

The reason family is often the chosen battleground is simple: intimacy.

Your family knows you better than anyone.

They know your vulnerabilities, your emotional buttons, and exactly how to push them.

This makes them a powerful tool in the enemy's arsenal.

They’re the people you trust the most, which makes their criticisms and doubts hit that much harder.

What To Do When Family Becomes a Battlefield

Recognizing this pattern is the first step to breaking free from it.

Here are some things you can do:

Pray for Discernment:

Ask for wisdom to discern the source of the negativity.

Is it genuinely coming from your loved ones, or is it something darker using them as a vessel?

Set Boundaries:

Learn to say no, You don't have to engage in every argument or defend every decision.

Create emotional distance when necessary to protect your energy.

Seek Support Outside the Family:

Lean on mentors, friends, or spiritual leaders who understand your journey and can offer encouragement and guidance.

Practice Self-Care:

Take care of your physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

When your cup is full, you're better equipped to handle the inevitable family challenges.

Speak Truth with Love:

Don’t hesitate to communicate your feelings, but do it with love, respect, and understanding. Remember, your loved ones may be struggling too.

Remember Your Calling: Focus on your purpose and the higher power that has guided you. That is your anchor during the storms.

Don't Be Discouraged

This is a challenging reality, but it’s also incredibly common.

Being targeted by the enemy is a confirmation that you are on the right path and have a powerful purpose to fulfill.

Don't let the attacks discourage you. Instead, let them fuel your faith and ignite your determination.

When family friction arises, see it as an opportunity to grow stronger, deepen your faith, and learn how to navigate challenging relationships.

You are anointed, and you are worthy of love and support, even when it comes from sources outside your immediate family.

Stay rooted in your truth, and keep shining your light into the world.
